Several young students from the counties surrounding Charlotte received their certificates for graduating as pre-apprentices in masonry through a local masonry company McGee Brothers. Masonry pre-apprentices are given the opportunity to work on site, learning how to mix mortar and lay brick. All while making great money, earning an elective high school credit, and building lots of character. A minimum of 135 hours is required to complete the pre-apprenticeship program that is offered through the NCMCA and ApprenticeshipNC. Students must be at least 16 years of age and capable of driving to and from sites located all around the greater charlotte region.
